The absolute worst thing you can do is squeeze your pimples or zits. Not only might it spread the bacteria but you may also make the acne marks worse plus the possibility of having some nasty scars. Leave your zits alone and you’ll be better off in the long run. Always remember that your acne will clear up but if you squeeze and pinch you might cause acne scars that will never go away without help. Sure, you look better for the night or even a couple of days but the scars will be life long and thousands of nights. Remember that when you’re tempted to squeeze.
There are many different types of acne marks and scars. Rolling scars, ice pick scars, keloid and hypertrophic and some are also called boxcar scars. However it doesn’t make much difference what you call the acne marks, it’s still easier to prevent them than it is to get them to go away.
You also have the other options for acne medicine like clean and clear and stridex pads, which happens to work well if oil clogged pores are the cause of your pimples, and many others. Of course there are also all the ones you see advertised on television and the internet.
One of the first things to try is the anti bacterial creams and ointments. There is scientific proof that bacteria are a cause of a lot of acne. Killing the bacteria stops the acne. That’s also why antibiotics work.
Occassionally birth control pills are used as an anti acne medicine. While they work for a lot of girls and women they aren’t tested and approved for reducing or preventing zits and pimples.
