The front page or homepage of your site should be on the root of the domain and it should be the default page. Search engines like that better than anything else. So your domain name and home page would be at http://www.yourdomain.com/

Most of the hosts I use have index.htm as the top level default home page. When I create a file for the home page of any of my sites I name it just that. index.htm. That way when you link all you need to do is link to your domain name and the default home page will be there and be found.

It’s a good idea to have a few pages before the membership directory. That allows you to tell them, in detail, something about what benefits they are going to get by joining your site and the recurring billing.

Next you need a members directory. Under the root of your domain create a directory called members or whatever you want to call it. This is where all of your files will go that members have to pay to see. In my members directory I usually have 2-5 more sub directories so I can keep a neat filing system.
