Golf School Tips

Choosing the right golf school is actually quite important. Otherwise, you might spend a lot of money for instruction, and come back no better than when you left. Here are three tips to help you find the top one:

#1) Look at the facilities.

The best ones will have equipment that can tell how fast your swing is, video cameras that tape your swing, as well as an 18 hole course, practice range, and short game facilities.

#2) What is the schedule?

Some are for shorter periods and are extremely focused. Then there are others that are for much longer periods of time, such as half a year. These would give lessons are one day a week, and are therefore at a much more leisurely pace.

In the former example, you often stay at the hotel at the school, and live golf around the clock during this one to two week period. In the latter example, you get more prolonged attention, but it is not as intense. Both formats work, although taking one lesson a week for a longer period is often more effective.

#3) Ask for recommendations

Chances are, you play golf with many people throughout the year. Chances are, some of them have attended golf schools. Therefore, they will be able to tell you the best ones, and these are often different than what the magazines rate.

Magazines often rate the same schools at the top of the list year after year, whether they deserve it or not. You can often times find just as good of instruction for much cheaper by asking others.
The bottom line: finding a good golf school is really not that hard. Implement these three tips, and you should find the right one soon.
