How to avoid diamond scams
|
|---|
There are numerous diamond scams to avoid whey looking to buy an engagement or wedding ring. Most scams are minor, but there are some major diamond scams that happen with the buying and selling of diamonds. Scams happen because most people who buy diamonds don’t know that much about diamonds. This makes them easy to fool.
A scam that most jewelry stores use is the carat total weight scam. The tag on the jewelry, usually a ring, states the total carat weight of all diamonds in the piece, instead of listing the total weight for each diamond. This fools consumers into believing that the main diamond is actually bigger than it is. Ask what the total carat weight of the center stone is. Jewelry stores are allowed to round off diamond weights. This means that if the jeweler tells you that it is a 3/4 carat diamond, it is probably between 1/2 and 3/4 carat but closer to 3/4.
For others it’s not the big rush of desire that is love but the deep feeling of satisfaction they get from being with the person they love. There are so many ways to show love that even the great writers get into the act. “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.”
For some there are many ways to love and for others there is but one way. I don’t know who’s right but I certainly know when I’m in love or when I love someone.
There’s another problem with the word love. You can be “In Love” which is different than loving someone. I love some of my relatives but I’m not in love with them. So there are different types of love.
So what is love? Your love for your children is a different love than the love you have for your spouse or significant other. Even the love you have for your friends is different than your love for your kids or spouse. See, how to fall in love is a complicated subject.
