I usually will read a few reviews of toys and games to get me thinking about the best toys to get my kids for Christmas. I’m looking for the ones that other children love and other parents can recommend. One I’ve already picked out is the new Lego Toy Story 3 Train. We all love Woody, Buzz and the gang and kids love Lego building blocks. So, it is natural that the two combined would be a hit and perfect present for children.

Perhaps it is because of the generation I grew up in, but there is just something magical about toy trains at Christmas. Some toys are just, well, Christmas toys. I would put dolls and board games in that category too. However, I have boys and that is why I got the Lego Toy Story 3 Train.

It has the 584 Lego pieces and the train is easy to assemble and disassemble and it come with several Toy Story minifigures including Hamm as Evil Doctor Porkchops. The idea is to reenact the opening scene, Western Train Chase, of Toy Story 3. I know my sons will enjoy playing with it along with their other toys and Lego sets.
